Updated: Feb 16, 2023

The Philippine National Police Academy in leadership of PMGEN ERIC E NOBLE along with the Department of Homeland Security (US) represented by Special Agent Delgado conducted a seminar pertaining to “Human Trafficking” to the graduating class BSPS CL 2023 “MASIDTALAK” forming part of the Cadet Attachment Program and raising awareness of the schemes and mode of operation of Human Trafficking that, as a Future leader in the field of law enforcement is very vital. The following are notes taken to prevent and stop Human Trafficking:

As a law enforcement officer, one can take several steps to stop human trafficking:

1) Identify and rescue victims: This includes conducting investigations, raids, and sting operations to find and rescue individuals who have been trafficked.

2) Arrest and prosecute traffickers: This includes gathering evidence, building cases, and working with prosecutors to bring traffickers to justice.

3) Strengthen partnerships: Building relationships with other law enforcement agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community groups can help to increase the effectiveness of anti-trafficking efforts.

4) Raise awareness: Educating the public and raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking can help to prevent it from happening in the first place.

5) Training: Providing training to officers on the signs of trafficking and how to effectively investigate and prosecute cases.

6) International cooperation: Collaborating with other countries to combat transnational trafficking networks, as well as sharing information and best practices.

7) Protecting and supporting victims: Ensuring that victims receive necessary care and support during and after the legal process.
